The Leisurely Days of Summer

The Leisurely Days of Summer

I hope you’re set & ready for another summer journey! We will be coasting, from now till the end of summer. I hope you’re all prepared for the journey, well let’s make it slow while we’re sipping a tall cool drink of ice tea, while thinking of a prose or poetry might come to mind. The bliss of spectacular shows of colours & explosion of the colour palettes of flowers & it’s whiff, from pastel to vivid, butterflies of all shapes and shades, birds and dragonflies.
Speaking of flowers & afternoon or morning teas, don’t forget to visit my neighboring friends with their magnificent collections of flowers, teas and noble stories to amuse you; 2 of my favorites Judith of Lavender Cottage (http://lavendercottagegardening.blogspot.ca/) and Carolyn of Aiken House & Gardens (http://warrengrovegarden.blogspot.ca/2012/07/pink-peonies-roses.html#links). Judith has invited me to join their afternoon tea at the Rose Chintz Cottage (http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.ca/); how thrilling! Both have inspired me to be here more often and to tell you my stories too :o)
Speaking of teas & flowers, I would love to share you my dinner date with my hubby on the week-end, and as well is a breakfast with my family.
And that reminds me of letting you know about my “blonde beach bum” isn’t she super cute? What do you think? I told you she loves the sun. I have to dress her for the summer with her matching hat. I guess I have to settle with the vivid colours right now. I am sorry that I have been busy for the last few days with the household chores, admin duties and my photography. Processing my photos takes time too, I maybe a bit too hard on myself sometimes especially when it comes to photography; I am the biggest critique of myself. I don’t really have to do a special processing for my images for the blog, but for my flickr page, well that’s another story, as well as images for the club submission. Didn’t I tell you that I also belong to the camera club locally here in Surrey? For the avid photographers I would love to recommend you to join your local camera clubs, its fun, & exciting! I’ve learn a lot, met new friends, joined competitions and the ever gripping field trip galore.
Just like my flickroos friends I have quite a few in numbers and they’re all super cool. I hope to meet more marvelous friends here like you. I got so hooked in collecting tea cups & saucers & tea pots, I also love to write…
One day I went and search on the net for the vintage tea cups & saucers and that’s how I found my favorite sites that I regularly visit.  Besides, now my blog is not only about my photography but also sharing my afternoon tea with friends like you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s plan a tea party and let’s get together while “Summer is here” Till here and see you more often.
May your summer be blessed with sunny memories, embellish with memorable afternoon teas, writings and photography.
A great afternoon to all,

Lisa M.

I forgot my old colored bottles in my boxes down in the basement, I was about to throw them away, but I said “wait a minute, I can re-use it!” and here it is!

These are some of my loyal friends who’s been watching & sitting on my garden for quite a while now. My backyard has fewer flowers than usual; I’ve gathered most of my flowers from my front yard.

Don't forget to see my next page my littlest "blonde beach bum" is awaiting...

Travel with me to the Lavender Wind Farm of Washington State

Dear Friends,

Days goes by, I’ve been cleaning my house like crazy for the last 3 weeks, getting ready & summer proofing it. I know you didn’t hear from me lately. Call it busy, I have been photo hunting but didn't have very much time to process my images. Here's a few from my latest out of town trip to Washington State.
I love vintage, antiques, love the countryside, love the French-Victorian decors & stuff.  My summer hasn't really started I could say. Why is that? The weather doesn't seem to be cooperating or Mother Nature has decided to delay summer. It’s been cold here in the last few days; it feels like its back to winter. I’ve been processing images today, and yes no house cleaning for a while. I still have many projects to tackle and finish. My daughter and I are very excited to do our projects, like furniture painting and re-decorating the bedrooms as well as getting my house summer ready.
In my prayer I asked “Dear God, to please make the rain go away for a bit and give us a little of the summer.” Albeit we still have the cold weather here in North I still manage to get images of my cheerful summer flowers. Have time to browse them and enjoy my photography. I have to post many of my summer flower collage; it's quite a collection I tell you. I hope you enjoy them; you should come & join me in my photo shoots and let's take some nature photos as well as my afternoon tea time. I know it's a bit late but I want to greet all my Canadian Friends a "Happy Canada Day" and greetings to all my friends from around the globe. I know I don’t have followers yet, I am just new to the blog site. I hope to hear from you pretty soon. I hope you're all having a blast :o) Thanks for the visit, take care & Best Regards
A safe summer wish to all!

I've visited the Lavender Wind farm last week in Washington State, yesterday I went again with my daughter while hubby was fishing. I visited the farm and took more photos. The scent of the store is in vigorous, & inviting. I went in the store after visiting the garden and the farm. I’ve spent time to browse and enjoy things around. Bought a few little things...all lavender I should say!
Every where are bunch of lavender hanging & drying, & boy they smell gorgeous!! When I looked up I saw this lighting which I called  the "moon" beside the lavender. I
love the contrast colours and took chances. I love the shot, I hope you like it too!
Happy Tuesday and see yah around!

The Blessings of a Faithful God

The Blessings of a Faithful God

These are blessings of spring & summer; who would not count their blessings; in spite of rain & cold weather in the Northwest I can say we still have descent weather. Thankful for all the beautiful things I see daily and life that we have here as North Americans. I cannot thank God enough for a peaceful country I have, for healing, for prosperity, comfort for my family and all the while You hear me for all my spoken needs. Yet You love us way too much to give us lesser things. Your blessings come like raindrops, its number I cannot count. And yet sometimes we still doubt you, as if every promise from Your Word is not enough. I have doubted you and have complained too much, yet You still love us unfathomable. Your love is immeasurable, your love is unconditional. All I need is to “thank you”; I know that thank you is enough for You. You never complained but yet You love as always…. Thank you for being our God! “Count your blessings my friends”

Best Regards
