...afternoon tea, photography, & my cup & saucer collection is an awesome trio for me. My vintage cup & saucer collection is worth having it, i can use it for my high tea parties or when i entertain my lady friends. i also love buying tea of different kind specially the soothing one in the afternoon after along day from work or after gardening specially this time of the year. Summer is almost here and there is not a day spend wisely outside or in the garden and to enjoy gardening and relaxing. Of course photography is still numero uno for me. ...love having tea in the afternoon, because of that i also love collecting vintage tea cups & saucers.
Ladies, If you are considering starting an antique collection, a tea cup and saucer collection is a good route to go. Tea cups and saucers have been around for hundreds of years and are found in many types of materials, so there are plenty of different items to collect. And they can range in price from a few dollars at an antique store all the way into the thousands of dollars for rare sets.

I have look around almost everywhere, on-line, flea market, garage sale, antique shops, given as gifts, & etc. I have quite a number of sets and adding more...
I love using them for photography, dressing them up, or being creative with the cups & saucers.

Abstract in art & photography has always been my favorite subject. I love to create story and love to imagine a scenario in doing this. This has also made my imagination eclectic and creative this is also a way of expressing one’s feelings, communication of emotions, thoughts and other values.

ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY DEFINITION

There is no standard, universally accepted definition of abstract photography. Actually, it is not easy to create a clear-cut definition of an abstract concept. However, for the purposes of this series, it is necessary to create a definition in order to put some boundaries around the topic. This makes it easier to determine what falls within the domain of the subject matter. Thus, for this series, abstract photography will be defined as photography that:

•Does not represent the subject in a literal way.
•Communicates primarily through form, color, and curves rather than image detail.

The question arises, "Why bother creating abstract images?" In other words, there are a lot of other photographic opportunities out there. Why would a photographer choose to create abstract images?
There are a couple of reasons. First, abstract images can be very powerful. That in itself is all the justification that is needed. However, there is a second advantage. Abstract images can be created almost anywhere. What that means is that a photographer can create abstract images right at home and in the surrounding neighborhood. This is in contrast to other types of photography, such as landscape photography, where there is the cost in time and money to travel to specific locations to capture images.

In your own lucid mind I know for sure that everyone has their own interpretation and that is what makes me energized. No one can or will know what you really are thinking. Whether you’re feeling excited or poignant, it is also a combination of the emotional intensity and abstinence. It separates us from realization to imagination. Expressing oneself is not important, if it does effects the ambiance and makes you happy so be it. In my cognitive mind if we share the same thought; then welcome to my world! Sometimes I think that flowers & leaves have their own stories to tell, in my quaintest imagination I know that they want me to tell you their stories... when the wind blew they whispered to my ears to let you know that these two have their romance & story to tell. A never ending love, perchance, would I be interested to listen, perhaps. must it been love, maybe... next time listen to their stories and tell me.... their story maybe the lyrics the song.

Field trip day for the Surrey Photography Club, there are hundreds of flowers and trees this season, rainbow of colours, shapes, sizes, scents, and insects. The field trip was successful a lot of photographers from the club showed up.
For one thing, I know that my journey continues, everyday is a learning curve, experience, meeting new friends and sharing ideas and knowledge. I am a big believer that success is just around the corner. Happy Sunday!

This is my Image Entry for the CAPA Pacific Zone Print Challenge 2012, happy to say that I scored good (21 points), being a member of the club for almost 2 years (Surrey Camera Club & a few months under Langley Camera Club); I've taken my photography hobby quite seriously for almost 2 years now. I am quite happy for my improvement. Who knows one of these days I will bring home the bacon, nothing is impossible! Always on a positive note :o) Happy Thursday to all :o)
